Ready: Advent Week 2

The second candle is the Bethlehem candle.  Be READY.  Mary and Joseph were ready to listen and follow God's instructions.

The voice of John the Baptist crying aloud in the wilderness of the 1st century speaks to us in the chaos of the 21st century  -  God is near, be ready. Advent brings us to our knees. Walking through the reality of his coming, a young girl, a baby, angels singing praise, God born on this planet for life, death, and resurrection. In the wonder of it all we are awed, silent, on our knees understanding that we are made ready for his coming by trusting him with our past, present, and future. Moving beyond self, fear, and doubt we wait expectantly.  Come Lord Jesus.
