Church Retreat 2021

Everyone is invited to join Crosstown Covenant Church at Covenant Pines Bible Camp in McGregor, MN.  Church Retreat is a weekend of fellowship, discipleship,  and awe at God's beautiful creation.  It's a weekend where kids wander to the playground together, and families mix for canoe outings and hay rides. We cheer on the ones who are brave enough to drop on the giant swing and zip line. Strangers become friends around campfires, puzzles, board games, and meals. And most of all we grow spiritually together, taking extra time to dig into Scripture, discuss it together, and worship the Lord of all.

Join us for worship live from McGregor Sunday, Sept 19th

Plans for the Weekend
Sept 17-19

Retreat Bags

We will have bags for you to help you participate in the weekend.  Each bag will contain some gifts, a CPBC map, a retreat notebook, and more.  Bags can be picked up at church starting Sunday, Sept 12 at worship or from the office Sept 14-16 from 9:00-3:00.  Please plan to settle your bill when you pick up your bag.
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. -1 Peter 3:15

Learning Sessions

The theme is "Changed by Jesus?!"  We will dig into the Bible with multi-generational teaching to learn about people who where changed by Jesus. Sessions this year will be led by Polly Inestroza.

Baptism

One of the tangible ways to see how we are being changed by Jesus is to celebrate the commitment to live our lives in dedication to Him through baptism.

Faith Stories

How are you changed by Jesus? We will work on articulating how Jesus is working in our own lives and celebrate that work together.  Angie Kopylov will lead.

Sunday Worship

The whole congregation will worship together and our home building is closed for the weekend. We will join for Sunday worship at CPBC in person and live on YouTube.
Tim Coyer will be our guest worship leader and Pastor John will preach.

FAQ

What are the Covid precautions?  Per MDH & CDC guidelines, it is highly recommended that all able persons wear a mask while inside any buildings at Covenant Pines. Questions about the Covid policy may be directed to Pastor John.
Will the meals accommodate dietary restrictions?  Yes, CPBC kitchen is accustomed to fixing gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free meals.  Please indicate this need in your registration form.
Can I make a donation beyond my registration fee?  Sure, that would be awesome.  You can round up when you pay your registration fee.
Is there childcare during the sessions?  Unfortunately not.  We can't offer childcare at this time, so your kiddos would need to sit with you. However, we are making efforts to make sure that the sessions will be engaging for all ages.
Will I have to share a cabin/room with someone else? We don't believe that housing will be tight enough this year to need to share spaces. If there is someone you want to room with please indicate that on your registration form.
What if I can't make it that weekend but want to listen to the lessons?  Sorry, we will not be live streaming or recording the Saturday sessions. However, we plan to have Sunday worship available on YouTube.
Are there specific kid/ adult/ youth events? There will be a youth specific gathering Saturday evening. All generations will be strategically included in the teaching sessions. We will not be offering a kid only or adult only event.
What if I'm only attending Sunday virtually - do I have to pay a fee?  No, you can plan to join us on YouTube free of charge.  See video below.
