Celebrating Lent & Easter may look a little different in this pandemic, but it's no less meaningful. We will partner with you through the season in whatever way you feel comfortable. There will be events in person, events online, and materials you can use at home.

Easter Celebration Weekend
Good Friday | Egg Hunt | Easter Eve | Easter Worship
This is an all-inclusive weekend of lament, worship, play, service, and outreach offered in person, virtually, and outdoors. There is something for all members to participate in as we celebrate together the resurrection of our Lord. He has Risen!

Special Services
Ash Wednesday- Feb 17
Ash Wednesday is an evening 7:00pm service offered in person and on live stream. Watch our "Invitation to Ashes" video to learn more and help you prepare.
Palm Sunday- March 28
Palm Sunday is Sunday worship at 9:15am celebrated with the classic palm processional. Link for live stream is below.
Good Friday- April 2
Good Friday is a Tenebrae service at 7:00pm. This service will be primarily contemplative/reflective in nature.
Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus
Our Lenten sermon series will challenge us to move forward in our vision of Jesus. We'll look at the core of Jesus' teaching that directs us to live in a new and distinct manner. Lent is a journey that reorients our lives to view others through the radical lens of grace and mercy! Learn more in our blog post
Giving Drive for CES
Supporting Community Emergency Services
During this time the church observes a season of generosity, simplicity, and repentance. Our local food shelf is in need of many items. Please bring your donations to church before Easter Sunday.
Contemplation Radio
We have collected songs of lament and contemplation to help you center on Good Friday in preparation to celebrate His resurrection.
Lent Bags
We are excited to come alongside you for this unique Lent season. Bags contain ashes for self-imposition, palm branches, a devotion from Henri Nouwen's writings, and other treats.
Nokomis East Easter Egg Hunt
Families in the Nokomis East neighborhood with children up to age twelve are invited to join Crosstown and Verbo for an egg hunt. The event is free.
Egg Decorating Contest
Submit a photo of your favorite decorated egg, Artistic or Amusing. All ages are welcome to participate. See contest flier for details of competition and prizes.
