Welcoming Bethel

We are looking forward to Feb 20, 2022 as we invited Bethel Ethiopian to worship simultaneously with Crosstown. Selem is the classic greeting of Shalom peace in Ethiopian. Check out the above video from Pastor Weto to learn more.

Logistically, what will Sunday look like?

*At 11:30 Bethel has invited Crosstown to share some Ethiopian coffee and bread together.

Will Bethel be using the building for other events? At this time Bethel will not have keys to the building and will only be using the building for worship. As the relationship progresses this might change.

How is Kids Equip going to work with both congregations? Great question. We have an Enriching Kids Equip blog post with more details. Bethel youth will also be joining Youth Equip.

Has anything been done in the Fireside Room to prepare for this transition? Yes, the Fireside Room is in process of receiving a much needed mini facelift. Originally we were planning for Bethel to utilize the Fireside Room however things have been relocated. Bethel will now use the Youth Room for worship and Youth Equip is moving to the Fireside Room.

Will Bethel have exclusive use of the Fireside Room? Not at this time. Verbo will continue to use storage in the room and it will be open for other groups to use during the week. Question is not needed since Bethel will now be utilizing the Youth Room.

Will Bethel pay rent? This issue is in process.

What about holidays? Currently we are envisioning celebrating Easter, VBS, the Kids Christmas program, and other events jointly.
