Hope: Advent Week 1

Let the first candle remind you of HOPE. When there is a glimmer/ flicker of hope darkness flees. The prophets had hope in spades.

Hope is prominent in our world today. It seems that everyone is hoping for something special to happen soon.  Some folks even hope for heaven.  Now at this time of year with Christmas so near presents us with thoughts of Jesus Christ and heaven.  So, many people are thinking of heaven wondering if they will make it.  I know according to God's word that He doesn't want anyone to perish.  So I thought this would be a great opportunity to talk about the way to heaven.  Jesus took that big black dirty bag of sin with Him to the cross as the price for our sing.

So for those of us who believe in Jesus and what He did for us on the cross are sin free and will go to heaven with our names written in the book of life and citizenship in heaven where we will dwell with Jesus Christ forever.
