CPBC Update Event
Dear Covenant Pines Ministry supporter,
I hope this letter finds you well. I have an invitation that I would like to extend to you and your congregation. As you know, Covenant Pines Bible Camp is at a key moment. The building that is the heart of camp, the chapel, is losing its structural integrity. Unfortunately, there isn’t a “heart bypass” option, so camp is pursuing a “heart transplant.” A new chapel is planned to be built on the geographic heart of the property. To support this difficult and expensive endeavor, CPBC has launched the Next Steps Capital Campaign.
Our congregations (event co-hosts Bethlehem Covenant and Crosstown Covenant) have a long history of love for camp, and I’m sure your congregation has some camp lovers, too. Multiple generations have experienced life-changing spiritual growth on the property. This is why we believe it is important to host an informational event to accompany the Next Steps campaign. The gathering will give historic attendees and families with yet-to-be campers a chance to learn about the next steps of camp. We will have plenty of time to ask questions. And importantly, there will be an opportunity to sincerely consider if financially supporting the camp’s “heart transplant” is something you feel called to do.
The original chapel contains the fingerprints - literally in the concrete - of the people who sacrificed to build it. This is an opportunity to add your “fingerprint” to the new chapel. Join us August 15th at 7:00pm for treats and coffee at Crosstown Covenant Church. This event is jointly hosted by Bethlehem Covenant Church and Crosstown Covenant Church. All ages are welcome to attend and have their questions answered.
