FALL ’22 Sermon Series
Crosstown will launch into the Fall season by focusing on the theme of “Activate:” The dictionary highlights this term in the following manner:
To cause something to start working
To put a person or unit on active duty.

As we emerge from the stress of the last 2.5 years, it is vital to hear God’s voice calling us to a new day. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it spring up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19). We will listen to God’s call as we focus afresh on our logo, mission, and core values. We’ll ask the question: “How do these resources help to inform and lead us as individuals and as a congregation into a new season of ministry.”

Our “Activate:” adventure will begin on Retreat Weekend (September 16-18) and continue throughout the Fall. I’m especially looking forward to our worship gathering on Sunday, September 25 when we focus on Luke 24:13-25. I’ll be speaking about activating our listening to God. This was a major theme from my recent sabbatical and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
